Candice McCartney
Principal
Candice began her career in education as a 2nd grade teacher at James Fannin Elementary in Grand Prairie ISD. She has also served as a teacher at Delmas F. Morton Elementary and Lorenzo de Zavala Environmental Science Academy, and most recently Assistant Principal at David Daniels Academy of Science and Math. Candice is entering her 17th year in education and in GPISD.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
In her spare time, Candice enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, son Gavin, and grandson Giovanni.
